The Hidden Gems app allows users to sign in via a few different ways:
- Username and password
- Biometrics.
Sign in with Username and Password
To sign in by entering your username and password, just tap the login button from the sign in page, then enter your email address and password. Then tap LOGIN.
If you’ve forgotten your password, tap the “Forgot Password?” link that is found below the login fields and button. Then enter the email address associated with your account and tap the SUBMIT button. This will send you an email with steps to reset your password. If you don’t see the email, check your spam/promo/junk folders. If you still don’t find it, ensure the email address you entered matches the one you signed up with originally.
Note that you can also change either your email or password from the Settings link in the menu.
Sign in with Google
To sign into the app using your Google credentials, just click the big red G circle below the text “Sign in/up using” on the login page. When you do, you may be prompted to select the Google account you wish to use. Make sure to select the account with the same email address as your existing Hidden Gems account (if you signed up previously with your email directly).
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you sign up with a Google account with a different email than the one we have for you, a new Hidden Gems account will be created for you, and it will not have any of your old stats. If you do this in error, please contact us for help. We can either merge the two so that you can always use the new one, or delete one of them.
Sign in with Biometrics
The first time you sign in, you will be asked whether or not you want to allow Biometrics for future sign ins (if your device supports Biometrics, like fingerprint or face ID). If you selected yes, then you can use your biometrics for future sign ins to keep your account secure.
Quick Tip: In order to make it easy and not break your flow of reading books, you will usually remain logged into the app unless you explicitly select the Logout option from the menu. However, occasionally, due to app updates or after a certain length of time, you may be required to log in again.
