The Brother's Curse

The Brother’s Curse by Christine M. Germain

With 110+ ratings and a 4.6 star average, The Brother’s Curse is the first of the three book The Brother’s Curse Saga series and is a heart-pounding tale indeed. Crystal, who moves back home after the death of her parents is quickly launched into a race to flee from paranormal brothers who are on a quest to procure one of her mother’s heirlooms.

“…A tension-building story with fantastic horror elements and engaging dialogue,” Ashon R. writes in their five star Amazon review. “In my opinion, the story has a blend of everything a reader could want in a supernatural novel. This book keeps you guessing and the twits are…let’s just say it is well worth the wait. I can’t wait to start reading book two. I highly recommend!”

Ricky C. enthuses in their five star Amazon review, “This book keeps you turning pages…Moving, believable relationships, an electric, unpredictable plot, and an evil force as brutal as you can imagine. All these are only some of what carries this brilliantly written tale of love and tragedy. This is the kind of book you don’t forget for a while. The shocking moments stay with you and, unlike many novels in the horror/thriller genre that have minimal character development, [The Brother’s Curse] is full of realistic, believable characters that make you feel for them and want nothing but their best. Moreover, the diverse representation in these characters is refreshing and something we need more of in fiction today. This author is definitely one to keep an eye on. I wouldn’t be surprised to see her mentioned among the greats one day soon. Her talent for entertaining and shocking readers while also conveying deeper meanings, is inspirational.”

Wake the Night

Wake the Night by Reed Blitzerman

With a 4.8 star average and ratings actively coming in on this late 2022 release, Wake the Night is book four of the six book Tait Gonzales series, and is no doubt a hidden gem waiting to be discovered. Kathryn writes in her five star Amazon review, “This was another winner in the Tait Gonzales: The Prophetess series…It had a great horror feel to it and does a great job in telling the story…”

Mary C. concurs in her five star Amazon review, “I read this book almost straight through. I have to be honest, sometimes you like a book by an author and then read another one of his or her and it just doesn’t grab you like the first one. This is NOT the case here. In fact I am beyond impatient for the next one and the answers to questions this story raised. This author just gets better with every book.”

Autonomous

Autonomous by Richard Beauchamp

With 10 ratings and a 4.8 star average, Autonomous is another hidden gem newly released at the end of 2022, which takes the reader on a horrifying tale through space after the discovery of a dead pirate, a mysterious substance, and a maniacal robot.

Autonomous is an extensive experience of anxiety, suspicion, anger, chaos and fear. Cosmic Horror is alive and well.”

Cody concurs in his five star Amazon review, “… [I couldn’t] put it down till I was finished! A lot of different elements weaved into a spine tingling story that makes you want fresh air…”

The story of Theo Croft taking a trip to Scotland to look into the deaths from tuberculosis in the 19th century held me mesmerized…I would recommend this book to anyone who loves to read.”
