5 Female Authors Who Write Love Stories for Everyone

Each month we have the opportunity to interview the writers that bring incredible stories to your eReaders. From debut authors to seasoned pros, we’ve enjoyed getting to know these folks and learning about their inspiration and lives outside of writing. Today we’re bringing you a round-up of five recent interviews with female authors dedicated to writing love stories for everyone, just in case you missed them the first time around.

It’s no secret that romance is the most popular genre within our program. Romance readers are voracious, and they know what they want! Whether it be contemporary, historical, young adult, paranormal or suspense, readers enjoy a love story with the hopes of a happily-ever-after.
With that in mind, today we’re looking back at five female authors committed to bringing more happy endings to readers. We loved catching up with these incredible authors who share their words and stories with the world, and we’re quite certain this list may include your next favorite romance author!

When asked, “How would you describe yourself to somebody who isn’t familiar with your writing yet?” Dana said, “I am a hopeless romantic and an action junkie. Toss a couple supernatural, magical, or sci-fi ingredients mix it in a bowl with high school angst and love, add a dash of imminent threats and viola, my Young Adult book babies are born. If you love exciting, spine-tingling moments, with chaptering ending hooks, you’ll be smitten with my writing. I like to tell my readers: Come for the romance, stay for the non-stop action.”

During our interview we asked Ivy, “What feeling do you hope readers are left with when they finish one of your novels?” Ivy candidly replied, “I always say that if you don’t laugh and cry while reading my books, then I haven’t done my job. When I write, I sob and laugh like a crazy person and I just hope that those feelings transfer to the page. In the winter I usually lose my mind and write thrillers though. And when you read those I hope that you’re left feeling super unsettled and a little freaked out.”

Amy writes contemporary romance with intelligent heroines and when asked, during our interview, “What inspires your stories and why is that important to you?” Amy told us, “I love alpha heros and strong women, but I’m a cathartic crier, so I’m not afraid to let my characters fail. I like to stack the odds against them, put them in a hard spot, and ask them to shine. So far, my heroines have demanding, technical jobs, but art can be brutal, too.”

They’re the warm hug you can go running to when another book has hurt you, the hair of the dog that you can consume when you’re suffering from a book hangover, and you can go in knowing that you’re going to laugh and live with my characters right up until you breathe a sigh of relief at their happy ending.”
