The romance genre includes books with a primary focus on relationships and romantic love between two (and sometimes more?) people.  Generally written for an adult audience, often sexually explicit (but not always) and often result in an emotionally satisfying ending.

Average Sign Up Rates by Hidden Gems Readers:

Romance novel sign up averages depend mainly on type of romance, although a strong cover and blurb are also very important.  Here are some typical average sign up rates for the main sub-categories.

  • Contemporary/steamy, Military, Sports, Bad Boy, Billionaire – 40-150
  • Western, Rom-Com, Paranormal – 20-50
  • Clean, Historical, Christian, Scifi – 10-35
  • LGBT – 10-30
